The most beautiful villages are just a few miles from the coast, so you can spend days exploring unforgettable landscapes and flavours of Romagna cuisine, from cheeses to wines. The ancient medieval countries are rich in art collections, museums dedicated to the land and mysterious legends, such as that of the Montebello castle, where it seems that the ghost of a little girl is still in the halls …

Day 1
Brisighella
Brisighella

Brisighella is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: its medieval origins can be seen in the streets of the old town, in the ancient way of the donkeys and in the Manfrediana Fortress, a fortress that still retains the slots and the walkways for the sentinels along the walls. The country is famous for its wines and extra virgin olive oil: it seems that olive groves have been cultivated since Roman times … If you are from Brisighella, do not miss a tasting in one of the many local places in the country!

Day 2
Bertinoro
Bertinoro

Traveling to Bertinoro, you will notice that the hills around the village are covered with vines: the village is famous for its wines, true symbols of Romagna, such as Sangiovese and Angla. Many wineries around Bertinoro can be visited, taking advantage of the best red and white wines. Do not miss the village square, from where you can admire a panorama that reaches the sea … And for those who want hours of pure relaxation, there are plenty of spas, not far away from the village.

Day 3
Logniano and Sogliano
Longiano and Sogliano

Longiano is located at the foot of an ancient castle of Malatesta, gentlemen of Romagna between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance: today one of the most original contemporary art collections in the region is collected here. Walking around the countryside you can stop at the Museum of the Territory, which collects thousands of objects able to tell the stories of those who lived among these hills. And if you love good food, in Sogliano you will discover the taste of dill cheese, seasoned with a very ancient technique.

Day 4
Poggio Torriana
Poggio Torriana

Poggio Torriana is a village of ancient legends: here the hills were the scene of clashes among the most powerful Italian Renaissance families who built rocks and castles on steep rock spurs. Just outside the village, you can go up to the ruined tower overlooking the valley, to admire a unique panorama. And if you love the mysteries, you can stop at the castle of Montebello: centuries ago, the local lord’s daughter disappeared here and was no longer found, but some swear to have heard her wandering over the subterranean …
